LOS ANGELES, (ERAKINI) – Grammy Awards 2026 mencatat sejarah baru dengan absennya persaingan besar antara Taylor Swift, Beyonce, dan Adele untuk pertama kalinya dalam lebih dari satu dekade. Meski demikian, ajang penghargaan musik paling bergengsi di dunia itu tetap berlangsung meriah dengan Kendrick Lamar kembali tampil sebagai sorotan utama.
Grammy Awards ke-68 ini digelar di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, pada Minggu malam atau Senin (2/2/2026) WIB. Rapper asal Compton, Kendrick Lamar, keluar sebagai musisi paling banyak meraih penghargaan, setelah mengonversi lima dari sembilan nominasi menjadi kemenangan.
Capaian itu sekaligus mengukuhkan Kendrick Lamar sebagai rapper dengan koleksi Grammy terbanyak sepanjang sejarah. Musisi berusia 38 tahun tersebut kini mengumpulkan total 27 piala dan melampaui rekor sebelumnya yang dipegang oleh Jay-Z dengan 25 kemenangan.
Sementara itu, Bad Bunny juga menikmati malam gemilang. Musisi asal Puerto Rico itu membawa pulang tiga piala, termasuk penghargaan Album of the Year lewat Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Kemenangan tersebut datang menjelang penampilannya sebagai headliner halftime show Super Bowl pada akhir pekan mendatang.
Sejarah lain tercipta lewat Billie Eilish dan Finneas, yang resmi menjadi artis pertama yang memenangkan Song of the Year sebanyak tiga kali, setelah lagu Wildflower keluar sebagai pemenang. Dari ranah K-pop, lagu “Golden” dari film KPop Demon Hunters meraih Best Song Written for Visual Media, menghadirkan Grammy pertama sepanjang sejarah bagi musik K-pop.
Grammy Awards ke-68 memberikan penghargaan untuk karya rekaman yang dirilis dalam periode 31 Agustus 2024 hingga 30 Agustus 2025, dengan total 95 kategori yang diperebutkan.
Selain Kendrick Lamar dan Bad Bunny, sejumlah nama besar juga mencatat kemenangan penting, di antaranya Lady Gaga, Turnstile, The Cure, FKA twigs, hingga Tyla. Sementara penghargaan Best New Artist jatuh kepada Olivia Dean, menandai tonggak penting dalam karier penyanyi asal Inggris tersebut.
Ajang Grammy tahun ini menegaskan dominasi lintas genre, dari pop, rap, rock, hingga musik global, sekaligus membuka lembaran baru dengan hadirnya para pemenang bersejarah dan kejutan di berbagai kategori utama.
